EDISON, N.J. – Helping his team to a pair of home victories early in the conference season, Fairfield University men's tennis senior Jonathan Olive-Blanco was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Week as Stags tennis swept the weekly awards having also captured the women's award, won by Lize-Alet Morkel.

With a pair of topflight singles wins in addition to a doubles victory in the No. 1 spot as well, Jonathan Olive-Blanco nabbed a trio of victories in two MAAC games for the Stags at home this week. On Sunday against The Mount, Olive-Blanco captured a 6-2 victory in doubles and followed that up with a win at No. 1 singles in straight sets 6-4, 6-2. Then on Tuesday against Siena he would earn another top-flight singles' win with a straight-set victory once again, 6-3, 6-1.

Fairfield men's tennis is back in action Saturday when they head up to Niagara Falls, N.Y. to take on the Purple Eagles.
