EDISON, N.J. – Coming off a victory in the Stags' final tournament of the regular season, Fairfield University men's golf senior Killian McGinley has been named Golfer of the Week by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Wednesday afternoon.

Capturing the first victory of his collegiate career, Fairfield's Killian McGinley shot eight-under Par across two rounds to win the ABARTA Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational by four strokes. He would open with a six-under, 66, in the opening round which included four birdies on the front nine to lead the 103-golfer field. Going on to shoot two-under in the finale, McGinley also helped the Stags to a share of second place out of 18 schools.

McGinley and Fairfield women's golf embark for the 2023 MAAC Championships this weekend from Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
