Fairfield Shines in Final Round of NCAA Reno Regional

The Stags improved by 21 strokes in the final round of action

RENO, Nev. – Fairfield University Men's Golf turned in its best round of the NCAA Reno Regional on Wednesday, carding a 295 to improve by 21 strokes over its Round 2 score at the Montrêux Golf & Country Club. The final day of action saw the competitors finish the second round before starting their final trips through the course as weather continued to wreak havoc on the action.
 
The Stags were led by All-MAAC First Team honoree Colin Summers, who turned in a 73 in the final round to climb seven spots on the leaderboard. 2025 MAAC Champion Tadgh Burke bounced back from an opening-round 82 to fire consecutive rounds of 75 and 74.
 
Peter Crowe's best round was also his last with a 76 on Wednesday. Chase Millar had the best round by a Stag over the 54-hole event as he turned in a even-par 72 in the final round.

Rasmus Ditzinger and Anthony Naples were also among the six Stags to hit the links this week, each posting a personal-best round of 81.
 
#33 nationally-ranked BYU won the Reno Regional as one of eight top-50 teams in the 14-team field. #9 Virginia, #4 Texas, #40 San Diego and Cal rounded out the top five to advance to the NCAA Championship. Individual medalist honors went to Paul Chang of Virginia with a 206 (-10) for the week to beat a field that featured 21 top-150 players in all of Division I.
 
Fairfield participated in its first NCAA Regional as a team after winning the 2025 MAAC Championship.
