EDISON, N.J. – With a pair of wins to push her side to a perfect 5-0 start in league play, Fairfield University women's tennis graduate student Lize-Alet Morkel collected her second-consecutive Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Weekly honor Wednesday afternoon. Morkel earns this weeks accolade as Co-Player of the Week alongside Marist's Jane Bockman.

In a pair of MAAC matches against Marist and Niagara, Lize-Alet Morkel helped the Stags to a 5-0 conference record with a pair of wins. Despite both her matches against Marist halted while leading in singles and doubles, she picked up a 6-0, 6-3 victory at No. 2 singles and a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles in the match at Niagara Saturday.

Morkel and Fairfield women's tennis close the regular season this afternoon as they head to Guilford for a meeting with Quinnipiac.
