EDISON, N.J - On Friday, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced the results of its 2023 Preseason Coaches' Poll, with Fairfield University women's golf picked to finish fifth in the field at the MAAC championships later this spring.

Garnering seven of the nine possible first-place votes, Quinnipiac was selected as the favorite to win this season's championship, earning 73 votes overall. Contingent-member Loyola Chicago slides in second with 66 overall votes, followed by UAlbany who were picked third with 63 votes, but picking up the final two first-place bids. 

Dayton was selected as fourth with 55 votes, just two ahead of the Stags, who slot in fifth with 53. From there the votes teeter off to the sixth spot and Mount St. Mary's with 29 votes, followed by La Salle with 25. Siena slots eighth in the poll with 25 overall votes, and Niagara rounds out the group.
