GREENWOOD, IND. - Fairfield University men's tennis senior Kaya Gore added one more accolade to his resume this season, as he was recognized Thursday for his efforts both on the court and in the classroom. Gore was tabbed as a First-Team CoSIDA Academic All-District Honoree.
Specifically, Gore earned the District One nomination for men's tennis, as one of the top performers in the district, exemplifying the definition of a student-athlete. Achieving a 3.82 G.P.A. as Finance major at Fairfield, Gore is now eligible for nonation as a CoSIDA Academic All-American.
Gore excelled on the court as well this season, posting a 17-3 record in singles play during the 2021-22 campaign, and was unanimously named the MAAC Player of the Year for the second consecutive season, in addition to a spot on the First-Team all conference roster.
Gore will add another award to his trophy case this season, as he will participate in this weekend's commencement ceremonies and receive his Bachelor's Degree from the Dolan School of Business.

"The 2021-22 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-June."
