EDISON, N.J. – A key member of the Fairfield University men's tennis team this season, Kaya Gore earned his second weekly award of the campaign Monday, as he was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Player of the Week by the conference.
In a pair of matches for the Stags last week, Gore earned a pair of straight-set wins at No. 1 singles over both Monmouth and Niagara. In doubles play, he went 1-1 earning a win against Niagara in the No. 2 duel. On the year, Gore holds a 15-3 record in singles play this season, including a perfect 7-0 in top flight matches.
Gore and Fairfield men's tennis are back in action Saturday when they head to Loudonville, N.Y. to take on Siena.
