MILFORD, Conn. – Patrick McCarthy maintained pace with the leader all the way through the two-day Sacred Heart Spring Invitational, finishing one under par and just one shot off the leader, nabbing a second-place finish to lead Fairfield University men's golf.

As a team, Fairfield finished fifth out of six schools, just two shots behind third-place Bryant, with a trio of Stags taking home top-15 finishes. Clarkie Carroll finished tied for ninth at six-over par a career-best finish for the Stags' freshman, followed closely by Zachary Maloy who finished tied for 12^th in the 42-player field. Elsewhere for the Fairfield Five, Chase Millar finished tied for 34^th, and James Tyer rounded out the team in 40^th.

Fairfield men's golf is back in action Saturday in one final tune-up ahead of the MAAC Championships, making the short trip to New Haven to take part in the Yale Spring Invitational at The Course at Yale.
