BLOOMFIELD, Conn. – Alexa Brown finished sixth in a field of 45 golfers to lead Fairfield University Women's Golf at the Hartford/Tumble Brook Invitational on Friday in Bloomfield. Brown guided the Stags to fourth place out of eight on the team leaderboard.

Brown recorded a 76 (+4) in her round at Tumble Brook Country Club, five strokes off the pace.
Addy Douglas tied for 14th with a 79 (+7) and
Diana Velez added an 82 (+10). Rounding out Fairfield's scores for the day were
Riley Sullivan at 84 (+12) and
Mariana Antaya with a 90 (+18).

The Stags aggregated a 321 final score to claim fourth place – four shots behind Albany on the team ledger. Fairfield defeated Sacred, Hartford, Fairleigh Dickinson and Holy Cross.

Boston University ran away with the tournament, carding a 297 to beat the field by 14 strokes. The Terriers were paced by individual medalist Hanako Kawasaki with a 71 (-1) as the only golfer to shoot under par.

The weekend continues for the Stags with the SHU Spring Invite on Sunday and Monday at the Great River Golf Club in Milford.
