FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Golf welcomed Quinnipiac and St. John's to H. Smith Richardson Golf Course for a tri-match on Wednesday afternoon. Diana Velez set the pace for the Stags, finish tied for third overall.
 
Velez carded a 76 (+4) to wrap up her round eight strokes off the pace set by individual medalist Kaylee Sakoda (-4) of Quinnipiac. Addy Douglas and Alexa Brown each shot an 81 (+9) for the Stags, with Mariana Antaya and Grace Kryscio each turning in a round of 84 (+12).
 
As a team, the Stags aggregated a 322 to place third. Quinnipiac edged St. John's by three strokes with a 308 to win the tri-match.
 
The Stags are back on the links on April 18-19 for the Hartford/Gillette Ridge Invitational – their final competition prior to the 2021 MAAC Championship.
