MILFORD, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Golf played 36 holes at the two-day Sacred Heart Spring Invitational at Great River Golf Club in Milford. The Stags were led by
Addy Douglas and
Diana Velez.

Fairfield finished 10th of 12 teams at the tournament, besting MAAC foe Siena as well as Merrimack. Boston College won the tournament by 10 strokes over second-place St. John's. The Eagles were led by individual medalist Nathalie Irlbacher. Irlbacher carded the tournament's low round with a 67 (-5) on Monday to surge up six spots on the leaderboard best her teammate Angel Lin by two strokes.

Douglas had Fairfield's best round of the weekend with a 78 on Sunday.
Diana Velez and
Alexa Brown each carded a 79 on one of the trips through the Great River Golf Course to place second and third, respectively, among Fairfield golfers. Rounding out the Stags' scoring quintet were
Mariana Antaya and
Riley Sullivan.

The Stags are back in action this Wednesday at H. Smith Richardson Golf Course in Fairfield for a tri-match with Quinnipiac and St. John's.
