LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Fairfield University Men's Cross Country placed ninth at the 2021 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday morning.
Robert Dillon was the first Stag to finish the 8K course at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Dillon clocked in at 26:34.5 to place 55th on the individual leaderboard.
Jacob Bornstein added an 82nd place showing in the field of 144 runners, with
Alexandre' McMillian,
Finn Grosso and
Bryce Zapusek rounding out the five harriers to contribute to the Stags' final score.

On the team ledger, the Stags placed ninth, defeating Niagara and Saint Peter's.

Iona College won the MAAC Championship for an astounding 31st consecutive season. The Gaels fielded the top three runners and nine of the top 10. Jamie Dee edged his teammate Joshua DeSouza by one-tenth of a second, winning the individual MAAC Championship with a time of 24:36.9.

The Stags return to action on Friday, Nov. 12 at Franklin Park in Boston for the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship.
