WEST POINT, N.Y. – Sophia Prinos went 5-0 in singles action to win the E Singles draw to highlight this weekend's action for Fairfield University Women's Tennis at the West Point Invite. Emily Lombardi added a victory in the E Singles backdraw for the Stags.

Prinos defeated two competitors from St. Bonaventure as well as student-athletes from Lehigh, Colgate and Marist to win the E Singles draw without dropping a set. Lombardi emerged victorious in the backdraw with wins over players from Sacred Heart and St. Francis Brooklyn before a run through three straight competitors from Colgate.

Jessica Pil added three singles victories in the D Singles backdraw, beating players from Sacred Heart, Lehigh and Air Force. The final of the backdraw was not played.

Rounding out the singles wins for the Stags were Aina March and Francesca Karman, who each advanced out of the first round of the D Singles main draw.

In doubles action, the team of Lombardi and March won two matches to reach the quarterfinals of the B Doubles draw. The duo of Prinos and Karman also picked up a doubles win.
