LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Fairfield University Women's Golf placed seventh at the 2019 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship this weekend at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course.
Madison Banas shared 16th place to lead the way on the individual charts.
The Stags' seventh place finish slotted them ahead of Monmouth and La Salle. Albany won the 2019 MAAC Championship with all five of their golfers among the top 14, led by second-place finisher Helga EInarsdottir. The Great Danes topped Dayton and Quinnipiac by 17 strokes to run away with the team crown.

Banas' opening-round 79 was the best trip by a Stag through Disney's Magnolia Golf Course this weekend as she landed in 16th place.
Alexa Brown placed 29th, with
Arianna Palmeri,
Taylor Rogers and
Riley Sullivan all behind her in short order in 32nd, 33rd and 35th place, respectively.

Hartford's Maria Loza set the individual pace with a 226 (+10) to top Einarsdottir by two strokes for medalist honors.
