BLOOMFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Golf sits in second place following Saturday's opening round of the Hartford Women's Invitational hosted by the University of Hartford at Tumble Brook Country Club in Bloomfield. Taylor Rogers set the individual pace for the Stags with a 77 (+5).
 
Rogers is two strokes off the lead entering Sunday, tied with Bucknell's Meredith Langs and trailing Hartford's Maria Loza. Alexa Brown carded an opening-round 79 (+7) to sit in fifth place.
 
Bucknell is the current team leader, out to a healthy 23-shot lead entering Sunday. The weekend's field consists of Fairfield, Bucknell and Hartford with a trio of Quinnipiac.
 
Final round action tees off on Sunday morning.
