WEST POINT, N.Y. – Fairfield women's tennis competed in the ITA Northeast Regional Championship this past weekend with solid performances but could not pick up a win.
Paulina Bakaite fought through her qualifying match taking it to three sets against Rachel Smilansky of Rhode Island but fell by a score of (6-7, 6-3, 4-10).
Amanda Nowak also dropped her first-round match against Katherine Muzik of Rutgers (3-6, 3-6).
In Doubles competition,
Paulina Bakaite and
Sophia Prinos fell in their first-round match (3-8) against Oceane Garibal and Najah Dawson of St. John's.
Amanda Nowak and
Francesca Karman also fought hard against Zoe Howard and Clare McKee of Princeton but fell by a score of (2-8).
