PHOENIX, Md. – All five golfers competing for Fairfield University Women's Golf improved their scores on their second trip through the course at Eagle's Nest Country Club on Tuesday's final round of the Towson Invitational. The surge landed the Stags in seventh place in the midst of a tightly-packed section of the team leaderboard.

Alexa Brown led the Stags in her Fairfield debut, carding a 78 on Tuesday to finish tied for 18th place in the 47-golfer field with a 161. Brown's 78 was the best round for a Stag at the tournament.
Madison Banas was also among the top-20 finishers, improving by three strokes to card an 80 for the round and a 163 for the tournament.

Rounding out the Fairfield quintet,
Taylor Rogers posted an 82 this afternoon,
Riley Sullivan notched an 83 and
Arianna Palmeri turned in an 89.

The Stags' aggregate 36-hole score of 665 placed them ahead of Delaware State and Hampton on the team leaderboard. Fairfield was two strokes behind Monmouth – topping their MAAC foe by eight shots to close that gap – and five shots behind fifth-place LIU Brooklyn.

Princeton pulled away for with the team title with a final-round 291 – the tournament's only sub-300 round – to top host Towson by 17 strokes. Princeton was led by medalist Maya Walton, who shot a 68 on Tuesday to wrap-up the individual crown with a 143 (-1).

The Stags return to action this weekend at the Dartmouth Invitational at Hanover Country Club in Hanover, N.H.
