PHOENIX, Md. – After waiting out rainy conditions at Eagle's Nest Country Club, Fairfield University Women's Golf completed its first 18 holes of the fall this afternoon at the Towson Invitational. The Stags are currently eighth on the team leaderboard after the opening round of the tournament.

Individually,
Madison Banas and
Alexa Brown led the Stags as each golfer carded an 83 (+11) on the day to share 19th place in the 47-golfer field.
Taylor Rogers added an 87 (+15) followed by
Riley Sullivan's 89 (+17) in her collegiate debut and a 99 +27) from
Arianna Palmeri.

The Stags outpaced Hampton by 20 strokes to claim eighth place with an aggregate score of 342. Fairfield will enter Tuesday's final round a manageable 10 strokes out of fourth place, which is currently held by fellow MAAC squad Monmouth.

Princeton tops the opening round leaderboard led by a 74 (+2) from individual pacesetter Tiana Lau as well as a 75 (+3) turned in by Maya Walton.
