LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Led by an 86 for Taylor Rogers, Fairfield University Women's Golf slots ninth after the opening round of the 2018 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship. Madison Banas added an 87 for the Stags on her first trip through Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
 
Arianna Palmeri was right behind her classmates with an 88, while Sydney Bardsley shot a 99 and Kelly Langan carded a 112. As a team, Fairfield posted a 360, trailing eighth-place La Salle by six strokes.
 
The University at Albany tops the team leaderboard with a 301 to claim an eight-shot advantage over Quinnipiac. The Danes were piloted by individual leader Megan Henry, who fired an opening-round 73 (+1).
 
Saturday's second round tees off at 7:30 a.m. with the final round slated for Sunday.
