NEW HAVEN, Conn. --Â Brad Orban led the way for Fairfield University Men's Tennis this past weekend at the Ivy Plus Tournament, reaching the Singles Final of the event.

Orban started the weekend with a win over Gilbert Jaeger of Dartmouth by a count of 7-6 (14-12), 6-3. In the quarterfinal match, Orban defeated Fedor Andrienko from Yale (0-6, 6-2, 6-1). Orban continued his strong performance in the semifinal round as he took down Denton Ho of Cornell (6-4, 4-6, 6-1), putting himself in the final against Grant Solomon of Harvard. Orban put up a good fight but fell (6-4, 6-1) to Solomon.Â

Lewis Edwards also picked up a singles win in the back-draw bracket against Paul Midgely of Dartmouth by a count of 6-3, 6-4. Lewis did not compete in the final day of the tournament due to an injury. Â

Edwards and Orban also took home a doubles consolation bracket win defeating Eddie Grabil and Paul Midgely, 8-4.
