HANOVER, N.H. – Fairfield University Women's Golf played 36 holes at the Dartmouth Invitational this weekend to open their 2017 fall slate.
Taylor Rogers led the way with a two-round score of 156 (78-78) on the par-72 course.
With her twin rounds at +6, Rogers moved up two spots on the leaderboard from Saturday to Sunday and placed 30th – four strokes out of the individual top 20 in the 63-golfer field.
Madison Banas had the low round of the weekend for a Stag with a 75 on Saturday.
Arianna Palmeri also hit the links for Fairfield this weekend alongside freshmen
Sydney Bardsley and
Kelly Langan, both of whom were competing in the first tournament of their collegiate careers.
The Stags placed 11th as a unit this weekend. Quinnipiac won the team title with a 588 (+12) to top second-place Albany by six strokes. Siena's Sara Riso carded a 139 (-5) to merit individual medalist honors. Riso was two shots ahead of Quinnipiac's Luciana Tobia over 36 holes.
Fairfield is back on the course next weekend, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, for the Hartford Fall Invitational at Gillette Ridge Golf Club in Bloomfield.
