BUFFALO, N.Y. – Fairfield University Men's Cross Country hit the course in Buffalo against the best in the region on Friday at the NCAA Northeast Region Championship. Scott Dally set the pace for Fairfield as the squad placed 35th.

Daly was the top-scoring Stag with a time of 34:39.4, improving on the leaderboard as the race wore on at each checkpoint of the 10K meet. He was followed by
Nick Rispoli (36:29.5),
Benjamin Breton (36:56.8),
Mike Dziuba (37:00.4) and
Connor Secora (37:12.5) as the five Stags to score on the day.
Timothy Salit (37:55.2) and
Stephen Jastrzembski (39:29.0) were also in action for Fairfield.

Fairfield finished ahead of Hartford and St. Bonaventure as the 35th place team at the meet. #3 Syracuse won the NCAA Northeast Region Championship with all five scorers among the top-11 finishers, including individual champion Justyn Knight (31:43.3). MAAC power #22 Iona placed second behind the Orange.

Fairfield wraps up the 2017 fall campaign next Saturday, Nov. 18, at the ECAC Championship at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
