TRUMBULL, Conn. – Madison Banas fired a 76 (+4) to top the individual leaderboard at Tashua Knolls as Fairfield University Women's Golf squared off with Central Connecticut State on Wednesday afternoon in Trumbull. The Blue Devils bested the Stags on the team leaderboard in the dual match.
Banas set the pace in a 15-golfer field that including four Quinnipiac golfers in addition to the Stags and Blue Devils. She downed CCSU's Cecy Gutierrez by two strokes to claim individual lead.
Arianna Palmeri shared fifth place with an 85, and
Taylor Rogers was one stroke behind her at 86.
Sydney Bardsley added a 98 for the Stags.
The Stags return to tournament action this weekend for three days at the Course at Yale for the Yale Women's Intercollegiate. Fairfield hits the links on Oct. 6-8 in New Haven.
