2017 MAAC Championship Slated for Saturday in New Jersey

The Stags will compete in the conference-wide meet at noon

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Men's Cross Country hits the course at Holmdel Park this Saturday, Oct. 28 for the 2017 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship. The 8K championship race is slated for noon.

Four different Stags have led the squad in their seven meets thus far in 2017. Scott Daly was the pacesetter in four races, with Benjamin Breton, Timothy Salit and Connor Secora each leading the way once.

Fairfield placed ninth at the 2016 MAAC Championship in Orlando and has been selected to repeat that finish in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll in the first season for Head Coach David Scrivines.

Following the conference-wide meet, the Stags are back in action on Friday, Nov. 10 for the NCAA Northeast Region Championship in Buffalo.
