MILFORD, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Golf played 36 holes at Great River Golf Club this week at the SHU Fall Classic. Final round action saw the Stags overtake Post to claim fifth place in Milford.
 
Taylor Rogers led the Stags with a 176 after two trips through Great River, followed by a 178 from Madison Banas. Arianna Palmeri was two strokes behind Banas with a 180. Freshmen Sydney Bardsley and Kelly Langan rounded out the Fairfield quintet with scores of 209 and 220, respectively.
 
Tournament host Sacred Heart won the event by 15 strokes over second-place Navy. The Mids were led by individual medalist Christine McDonnell, who set the pace with a 151 (+7). McDonnell edged Larissa Stergiou of Hofstra by one shot, paced by the best round of the week with an even-par 72 on Sunday.
 
The Stags will round out the fall late on Oct. 23-24 at the St. John's Invitational at The Saint Andrew's Golf Club in Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.
