BLOOMFIELD, Conn. – Madison Banas carded a two-round 177 to set the pace for Fairfield University Women's Golf at the Hartford Hawks Invitational.
Arianna Palmeri added a 188 as the second Stag on the leaderboard after two rounds at Gillette Ridge Golf Club in Bloomfield.
Palmeri improved by 18 strokes on her second round to turn in an 85 – the best round by a Stag this weekend.
Sydney Bardsley and
Kelly Langan posted a 213 and a 224, respectively.
Taylor Rogers only completed one round, firing a 94 on Saturday afternoon.
Quinnipiac won the tournament by one stroke over Brown, guided by a second-place 151 from Julia Kemmling. Kemmling was topped for medalist honors by two strokes, as Sacred Heart's Chelsea Sedar turned in a 149 to claim the individual crown.
The Stags will remain close to home for their next outing as they compete at the CCSU Quad Match at Tashua Knolls Golf Course in Trumbull on Wednesday, Oct. 4.
