FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University women's tennis team dropped to the MAAC leading Quinnipiac Bobcats on Tuesday afternoon, 7-0.
In doubles play, the Stags were swept at all three spots. Nicole Aragones and Sarah Stuhlmann competed at No. 1 falling 6-0. In the No. 2 and No. 3 spots Cecilia Parla/Meghan Zimmer and Courtney Connors/Karen McKeough dropped 6-1 and 6-2 rescpectively.
In singles action, all six matches went just two sets as Fairfield was unable to claim a victory. Aragones played at No. 1, falling 6-1, 6-2. At No. 2, McKeough fell 6-1, 6-2 as well. In the third position, Zimmer dropped 6-0, 6-1. Gabriella Campos lost at No. 4, 6-1, 6-1. Connors was outlasted at No. 5, 6-1, 6-0, and in the sixth spot was Parla, falling 6-3, 6-2.
The team concluded its season with a 2-17 overall record including a 2-5 mark against MAAC opponents.
