EDISON, N.J. – The Fairfield University women's golf team has been tabbed for seventh place in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, as voted upon in the MAAC Coaches' Preseason Poll. The Stags tee off their spring season on March 7-8 at the Lonnie Barton Invitational in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Fairfield garnered 20 points in the poll, five behind sixth-place Siena. Defending MAAC Champion Albany – led by defending individual MAAC Champion Annie Lee – was selected to repeat with 62 points and six of the ledger's eight first-place votes.

The Stags' fall slate was highlighted by their second consecutive ECAC Championship. Jackie Schofield won the individual title and was followed on the leaderboard by teammates Michelle Applegate and Molly Hair. Additionally, Olivia Brooks shared the individual crown at the Sacred Heart Tri-Match in October

The 2016 MAAC Championship will return to Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. on April 22-24.
