BOSTON – The Fairfield University women's cross country team competed at the New England Championship on Saturday at Boston's Franklin Park. Stef Vickers led the way for the Stags in the 5K race with a time of 19:31.9.

New Hampshire earned the crown as New England Champions followed on the leaderboard by Harvard and Vermont. Stonehill's Nicole Borofski set the pace with a winning time of 17:28.7. She was followed by the top Division I finisher – Jordan O'Dea of Northeastern.

After today's action, the Stags' training narrows toward the 2016 MAAC Championship on Oct. 29 at ESPN Wide World of Sports.  Fairfield will run in a tune-up at the CCSU Mini-Meet on Friday, Oct. 21 before heading to Orlando.
