FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University women's tennis fell to St. John's 7-0 on Friday afternoon at the National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York.
At the number one doubles spot, Nicole Aragones and Courtney Connors fell 6-0. Karen McKeough and Meghan Zimmer dropped their match 6-1 at the number two spot. And at third doubles, Cecilia Parla and Gabriella Campos dropped a 6-1 decision.
Aragones competed at the number one singles and fell in two sets 6-1, 6-2. McKeough dropped two sets to Anna Morozova 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles. Zimmer dropped straight sets 6-1, 6-0 to Olaya Inclan in the No. 3 spot.
The team is back on the courts Saturday, February 6 against Seton Hall at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center in New Haven.
