BRONX, N.Y. – The Fairfield University women's cross country team wrapped the fall of 2015 with a 13th-place finish at the ECAC Championship at Van Cortlandt Park. Kathleen Woods paced the Stags on the 5K course, finishing 36th in a field of 163 harriers.
Woods crossed the line in 19:18.7 in her collegiate finale to lead the way for Fairfield. Jacqueline-Ann Willsey was also in the top half of the field with an 80th-place performance at 20:08.1.
Also scoring for the Stags were Sami Carey (20:16.6), Allison Campbell (20:21.6) and Stef Vickers (20:56.9) with Julia Wood just behind her at 21:04.3.
Fairfield bested four teams at the meet, including MAAC foe Canisius as well as Colgate, Seton Hall and Binghamton.
The team title went to Marist, which did not have a top-five finisher but had all five scorers break the tape among the top 34 runners. The individual crown was claimed by Isobel Batt-Doyle of St. John's, who set the pace at 18:03.3.
