Stags Cap Fall with Second Place Finish at Delaware State Invitational

DOVER, Del. – The Fairfield University women's golf team carded a final-round 329 – the best score of the four teams at the Delaware State Invitational – to claim second place at the event. Olivia Brooks led all players with a final-round 79 to secure fourth place individually.

Brooks turned in a two-day 163 (84-79) to finish six shots off the pace set by Hampton's Britney Smith (74-83-157) and Quinnipiac's Luciana Tobia (76-81-157).

Three Stags shared eighth place as Danielle Dalessandro (81-87), Michelle Applegate (81-87) and Molly Hair (87-81) all posted a 168. Jackie Schofield was just two strokes shy of the trio of Stags with a two-day 170 (88-82).

Quinnipiac won the team title with a 654 (318-336). Fairfield was eight shots behind their MAAC foe at 662 (333-329). Host Delaware State, which entered the second round tied with the Stags, ended the event with a 683 (333-350) and Hampton rounded out the field with a 719 (344-375).
