Men's Tennis Hosts Lafayette Saturday

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Fairfield University men's tennis team will host Lafayette on Saturday, March 8 at the Stamford Indoor Tennis Club in Stamford, Conn. The first serve is set for 7pm.

Fairfield (6-2) vs. Lafayette: Saturday's match will be the first time the Stags and the Leopards have faced one another in dual play since February 25, 2012. In that match, Fairfield defeated Lafayette, 5-2, in Easton, Pa.

A Look at the Leopards: Lafayette is 1-3 on the season. The Leopards have posted a victory over Wagner, and have fallen to Boston University, Monmouth, and St. Peter's. In their fall season, Lafayette competed in three tournaments including the Villanova Invitational, St. Joseph's Invitational, and the Patriot League Kickoff. The Leopards are coming off a 5-2 loss to St. Peter's on March 1.

Last Time Out: The Stags last traveled to Charleston, S.C. to compete at the Citadel on March 1. Fairfield had won the doubles point before the match was cancelled due to rain.

Looking Ahead: Fairfield will continue action on the road. The Stags will travel to Harrison, N.Y. to compete against St. John's University on March 16 at noon at Life Time Athletic.
