Ofir Solomon scored the lone point for the Stags.
Fairfield's point of the day came at No. 4 singles where Solomon edged the Bulldogs' Alex Hagermoser, 6-4, 6-4.
At No. 1 singles,
Ian Tesmond fell to Yale's Tyler Lu, 6-3, 6-4. In the two spot,
George Tioutine dropped to the Bulldogs' Daniel Faierman, 6-0, 6-2.
Cameron Amyot battled but ultimately fell, 6-5, 6-3, to Photos Photiades in the No. 3 spot.
Bjorn Merinder fell to Yale's Zachary Krumholz, 6-4, 6-0, at No. 5 singles while
Peter Colliard was edged 6-2, 6-3 to the Bulldogs' Jason Brown in the six spot.
In doubles play, Fairfield duo Tesmond/Amyot fell to Yale's duo Patrick Chase/Kyle Dawson, 6-1. At the second spot, Merinder/Tioutine were clipped by Faierman/Lu, 6-1. At No. 3 doubles, the Bulldogs' Photiades/Hagermoser were leading Stags pair Solomon/
Dennis Zlobinsky, 5-2, when the match was called.
Fairfield (4-2) returns to action on February 22, when the Stags host Fairleigh Dickinson at the Stamford Indoor Tennis Club in Stamford, Conn. at 7pm.
