Women's Golf Finishes 13th At Rutgers Invitational

FINAL RESULTS

The Fairfield University women's golf team shot a final round 316 to finish in 13th place at the Rutgers Women's Invitational with a final score of 650. The event was played at the par-72 Rutgers University Golf Course in Piscataway Township, N.J.

Emma Ritzmann shot a 76 on Tuesday, the team's best round of the event, to move up nine spots. She finished in a tie for 18th place with a 36-hole score of 155. Michelle Applegate carded a two-day score of 160, good for a tie for 36th place.

Olivia Brooks shaved 10 strokes off of her opening round score, shooting 77 on Tuesday, to move up 25 spots and finish tied for 62nd. Katie Rockwell was nine strokes better in the second round, 81, and finished tied for 90 with a 171. Kate Heffernan shot an 87 on Tuesday and finished in 106th place.

The University of Delaware finished with a two-day score of 603 to win the team title by five strokes over Seton Hall. The Pirates Erin McClure won the individual crown with a 146 final score.

The Stags will complete their fall schedule October 21-22 at the Bobcat Invitational.
