FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University women’s tennis team lost to Providence, 5-2, on Wednesday afternoon.

The Stags picked up one win doubles action. The duo of Meghan Zimmer and Shelby Vertula topped DeNucci and DaSilva 6-3 in the third spot.

In singles play, the team grabbed wins at the second and fourth spot. Diana Prinos topped Cyterski 6-4, 0-6, 6-2 in the No. 2 spot. While Vertula played DeNucci at No. 4 winning in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1.

Fairfield hits the courts again on Monday, October 10 at Rider.
