Biography

2019-20: 4-12 in singles play and 4-9 in doubles contests… notched solo wins over Quinnipiac, Rider, Hofstra, and Sacred Heart… earned tandem victories over Providence, Quinnipiac, and Sacred Heart… three doubles wins with teammate Paulina Bakaite.

2018-19: All-MAAC Second Team at No. 2 Singles… MAAC All-Academic Team…Compiled a 3-3 record against MAAC opponents for singles. Earned wins against Rider, Quinnipiac and Siena. Went 7-19 in doubles earning a conference win over Monmouth with partner Emily Lombardi.

2017-18: MAAC All-Academic Team...9-14 in singles and 12-13 in doubles…Led the team with 12 doubles wins and 21 overall wins…Earned four MAAC singles wins, topping opponents from Rider, Saint Peter’s, Monmouth and Siena…The final three wins came playing at the No. 1 singles spot…Also had three wins at No. 1 doubles, besting St. Francis Brooklyn, Monmouth and Marist alongside Anna Komer at the top spot of the lineup.

2016-17: During her freshman campaign, was 6-21 in singles matches while posting a 2-5 record against MAAC opponents… Began the season playing No. 1 doubles with Sarah Stuhlmann, the duo recorded 2-6 mark with one conference win… Prinos finished the season with partner Shelby Vertula at No. 2 going 3-8 with a 3-2 conference record.

Before Fairfield: While attending Foxborough High School, Prinos was an Honors student all four years. She was named to the Boston Globe All Scholastic team three years in a row and graduated in the top 20 of her class. On the courts, her team won the MIAA Division 2 State Championship in 2016. Individually, she was the MIAA Individual South Section finalist and named the league MVP after playing at No. 1 singles. Prinos was also named Boston Globe All Scholastic and Sun Chronicle All Scholastic. She earned league all-star nods four years in a row.

Personal: Daughter of Peter and Mary Ann Prinos… Has three siblings, Alana (23), Emma (20), and Sophia (16)… Her father, Peter, played tennis at Florida State… Her sister, Alana, played tennis at Providence while her sister Emma plays tennis at Stonehill… Major is Nursing.
