Box Score FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Tennis opened the fall season against crosstown foe Sacred Heart. The Stags picked up a total of eight wins over the Pioneers, taking six of eight singles matches and splitting four doubles contests. The hidden dual was a part of the Quinnipiac Invitational, though the action was held at the Walsh Athletic Center Courts on campus at Fairfield.
 
The Stags were victorious on six of eight singles courts. Sophia Harris and Yana Razina won their matches in straight sets, while Regina Herrera, Victoria Mandma, Lily Malinowski, and Dylin Pizzutello all earned wins in a third set tiebreaker. Razina's win was her first as a Stag in her collegiate singles debut.
 
On the doubles courts, the duo of Harris and Herrera and the pairing of Pizzutello and Maeve Cassidy both picked up victories.
 
Action at the Quinnipiac Invitational moves to Hamden on Saturday and Sunday. Today's hidden dual was the only scheduled home outing for the Stags during the fall portion of the slate.
