EDISON, N.J. – Fairfield University Women's Soccer freshman striker Bella Bingham was named the Metro Conference Rookie of the Week after scoring a goal and dishing out an assist in the win over Boston University. Bingham becomes the team's first weekly award winner of the season and the 11th different rookie to win the award under Head Coach David Barrett.
 
"Bella is really finding her feet now that we are a few weeks into the season," Coach Barrett said. "Like many first years, I think she was nervous to start out, but is growing in confidence every day."
 
Bingham was a key part in Fairfield's win over Boston University, scoring a goal and dishing out an assist against the Terriers.
 
For the season, Bingham is tied for second in the conference with two assists while also recording four points. She ranks second on the team with those four points.
 
The Stags, who hold a 2-1-1 record in their first four games, will hit the road to take on Harvard on Thursday at 4pm.
