EDISON, N.J. – After guiding Fairfield University Women's Golf to second place at the St. John's Women's Invitational, the Stags swept this week's round of awards from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Kaelynn Waclawski was named MAAC Golfer of the Week, and
Addie Chang has been tabbed as MAAC Rookie of the Week.
Waclawski earned her third MAAC Golfer of the Week nod after sharing first place at the St. John's Women's Invitational. She carded a 154, highlighted by a 73 in Tuesday's final round to surge 11 spots up the leaderboard and earn a first-place tie in the 71-golfer field.
Chang is now a three-time MAAC Rookie of the Week in addition to one Golfer of the Week selection this spring. This week, she tied for 17th on the individual leaderboard with a 162, four strokes out of the top 10 and just eight off the pace.
As a team, Fairfield finished eight strokes behind tournament host and champion St. John's. The Stags topped a field that included MAAC foes Quinnipiac, Merrimack, Mount St. Mary's, and Siena.
The Stags have one more competition on tap before the 2026 MAAC Championship. Fairfield hosts Siena and Quinnipiac for a tri-match on Monday, April 13 at H. Smith Richardson Golf Course.
