FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University Baseball team will host the Stony Brook Seawolves in non-conference action on Tuesday with a 2:30pm start time.
The Stags will enter action with 21 victories after taking two of three in the series over Iona. The series win boosted their MAAC record to 15-6, tying for second-place in the standings.
Matthew Bucciero leads the offense with a .319 average and a conference-leading 14 homers and a team-best 35 RBI.
TJ Schmalzle also holds a .303 average with a team-best 14 doubles which is also tied for the most in the MAAC.
Stony Brook has a 16-24 overall record after taking the series over Towson last weekend. Nick Zampieron is the team's leading hitter with a .341 average and 21 stolen bases.
The game will also end Fairfield's home stand while the Stags travel to in-state rivals Quinnipiac for a three-game set starting on Friday at 3pm.
