LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Fairfield University Women's Golf improved by nine strokes on its second trip through Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Wednesday's Round 2 of the 2026 MAAC Championship. The Stags maintained their position in second place as a team, with
Grace Windfelder holding on to second place, one shot back of the individual pace.
After carding a 301 (+13) on Tuesday, the Stags came out firing with an aggregate 292 (+4) on Wednesday. Fairfield extended its lead of the rest of the field, not outpacing UAlbany by 15 strokes with 18 holes to play. The Stags are eight shots back of first-place Quinnipiac entering Thursday's final round.
Windfelder posted a 70 (-2) on Wednesday to remain tied for second place at 143 (-1) for the tournament. She shares that spot with Quinnipiac's Samantha Galantini; both golfers are one stroke behind the individual leader, QU's Sophia Fujita at 142 (-2).
Ainhoa Jauregi is tied for sixth place after carding a 74 (+2) on Wednesday to sit at 149 (+5) for the tournament.
Addie Chang also owns a 149, improving by five strokes today with an even-par 72.
Katelynn Waclawski is at 152 (+8) after her second consecutive 76 (+4), and
Sofia Nogalo shaved four strokes off her score with a 77 (+5) today to sit at 158 (+14).
The final round of the 2026 MAAC Championship tees off on Thursday at 8 a.m. The Stags hit the course beginning at 10:15 a.m.
