EDISON, N.J. – After a 2-0 stat to the spring season,
Calum Jessett has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Player of the Week. Jessett won in singles and doubles on Saturday evening as Fairfield University Men's Tennis went toe-to-toe with Boston University.
Jessett helped Fairfield clinch the doubles point in the 4-3 loss to the Terriers. He teamed with
Alex Aguiar in the #2 doubles spot to defeat BU's pair of David Asenov and Adrian Quiros. Jessett also met Quiros in the #3 singles flight, earning a 6-2, 6-1 victory.
Jessett made in spring debut last Friday at Dartmouth. He and Aguiar again went to work at #2 doubles, where their match went unfinished.
Fairfield Men's Tennis is back in action on Sunday, Feb. 8 for two matches at West Point. The Stags will play Binghamton in the morning and meet host Army at 6 p.m.
