PISCATAWAY, N.J.-The Fairfield University women's team golf team completed play in its final tournament of the season before the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship by finishing 13th out of 17 teams playing two the Rutgers University Invitational in New Jersey. The Stags shot a final round +34 as team on Sunday to finish the three-round event at +104. Fairfield was part of a tightly-bunched group of six teams that all finished with five strokes of each other, as Monmouth took eighth at +99, Merrimack finished ninth at +100, Stonehill and St. John's tied for tenth at +102 and LIU was 12th at +103. Host Rutgers won the team event with a score of +29 for the 54 holes of play.
Sofia Nogalo stayed in a tie for tenth place in the 91-golfer field to lead the Stags over the weekend, as she shot a weekend-best +3 on Sunday after back-to-back rounds of +5 on Saturday to finish the tournament at +13.
Julia Rabadam was the next Fairfield finisher at +24 for the three rounds.
Katelynn Waclawski at +34, Grace Windfelder at +35, and Juliette Prud'Homme at +38 completed the Fairfield five in action at Rutgers.
Emily James of host Rutgers earned individual medalist honors for the weekend, as finished with a three-round total of +6 to earn a two-shot victory.
Up next, the Fairfield women's golf team will travel to the Sunshine State of Florida for the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship Tournament that will be played from Thursday April 17 through Saturday April 19 at in Lake Buena Vista at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course.
