Easton, Pa.–Coming off a first place finish as team in the their last action, the Battle at Rum Pointe, the Fairfield University men's golf team returned to the course on Sunday in their final tournament before the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship, and after the opening round of the Abarta Coca-Cola Invitational hosted by Lafayette College at the Northampton Country Club in Easton, Pennsylvania, the Stags sit in a third place tie in the team standings with Holy Cross at +8. Sacred Heart leads the team standings after day one of the two-day tournament at +5; three shots in front of the Stags and Crusaders.
Colin Summers shot an even par 72 on Sunday to lead Fairfield and head into the final 18 holes of play in a tie for eleventh place.
Peter Crowe finished the day one shot back of Summers at +1 (73) for sit in a tie for 18th place.
Rasmus Ditzinger completed the first 18 holes of play at +3 (75), and Chase Millar rounded out the top four Stags on the leaderboard at +4 (76).
Playing as an individual, Jonathan Bushka went +7 on day one in Pennsylvania, and Tadgh Burke finished off the Fairfield squad in action on Sunday at +8.
Action concludes with the final round of Abarta Coca-Cola Invitational on Monday.
