The Stags are coming off their second late-inning rally in just over a week as they overcame an 8-1 deficit in the final three innings to grab a 10-8 victory at UMass.
Tyler Kipp and
JP Kuczik added run-scoring hits, but the Stags would take the lead in the ninth on a
TJ Schmalzle sacrifice fly and a
Nolan Colby RBI ground out.
Five pitchers combined to hurl scoreless appearances with
Jake Memoli,
Jimmy Mulvaney,
Kevin Kell,
Jack Sheldon, and
Will Fox all throwing up zeroes. Sheldon led the bunch with 1.1 innings and picking up his first collegiate win. Fox tossed a scoreless ninth and struck out the final batter in recording his first save as a Stag.
