Box Score CUMBERLAND, R.I.-The Fairfield University men's tennis team was in action on Sunday traveling to the Ocean State of Rhode Island to take on Bryant University, and the visiting Stags fell to the host Bulldogs, 6-1. Fairfield is now 1-4 on the young season; while Bryant, now on a four-match winning streak, ups its season mark to 5-3.
Bryant took Sunday's doubles' point with wins at number two and three. The Stags' duo of Kostas Kollias and Kacper Krolikowski posted a 7-6 win at number one on Sunday.
Sophomore Calum Jessett posted the team's lone singles' win against the Bulldogs with a straight sets, 6-2, 6-0, victory in the number three slot.
Sam Hodges and Domagoj Stabek battled on Sunday at number one and five singles respectively, but both fell in three tough sets.
Up next, the Fairfield men's tennis team heads to the Sunshine State for a four-match excursion that begins with a matchup in Orlando on Monday, march 10 versus Hampton University.
