Stags Continue Play At Loyola Intercollegiate Invitational

Team Tied For 13th Place Headed Into Tuesday's Final Round

GOODYEAR, Ariz.-The Fairfield University men's golf team continued play on Monday afternoon in the Stags' 2025 Spring Opening Tournament at the Loyola Intercollegiate Invitational hosted by Loyola (Md.) at Palm Valley Golf Course in Goodyear, Arizona, and after 36 holes of play, the squad heads into Tuesday's final round tied for 13th place in the 19-team event.  Fairfield went +7 as team in the second round after going one under par in Sunday's opening round.  The Stags' team score of +6 after 36 holes places them in a tie with SIU Edwardsville five strokes behind tenth place Howard University.  The University of Richmond sits atop the team standings after the first two rounds of the three-round tournament with an impressive score of 20 under par.

Sophomores Peter Crowe and Anthony Naples check in as the top Stags' team scorers, as they both shot an even par 72 on Monday to give them a total of +1 after 36 holes of play, placing them in a tie for 42nd place.

Senior Colin Summers heads into the final round of play at three over par after shooting a +6 on Monday after going three under par on Sunday.

Freshman Rasmus Ditzinger shot a +1 on Monday, so he stands at five over par after 36 holes of action.

Senior Chase Millar rounds out the Stags' team scorers at +9 for the tournament.

Playing as an individual, Fairfield freshman Tadgh Burke had the best round of any Stags' player on Monday firing a two under par score of 70 after shooting an even par 72 on Sunday.  Burke heads into Tuesday's final 18 holes in a five-way tie for 20th place on the leaderboard.

Marshall's Ryan Bilby and Boise State's Cole Rueck are tied for the medalist spot on the leaderboard after 36 holes with scores of 10 under par.

Action wraps up in the Grand Canyon State in the Loyola Intercollegiate Invitational with 18 holes on Tuesday.
