Baseball Announces 2026 Schedule

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The reigning MAAC Champions, Fairfield University Baseball team has announced their 2026 schedule which begins with a trip to the College World Series Runners Up Coastal Carolina on February 13. The slate will also feature 22 home games at Don and Chris Cook Field with five conference series.

"I think our schedule is very good for competition this year," Head Coach Bill Currier said. "We have fewer nonconference weekends before the conference play starts in the beginning of March. Having opponents like Coastal Carolina who were the national runners up, Davidson, and Elon it will be a good and competitive schedule leading into the conference."

The 54-game schedule begins with a rematch of last year's NCAA Regionals when Fairfield travels to Conway, S.C., to face Coastal Carolina, who advanced to the College World Series Championship Game last season. The three-game opening series will begin on Friday, Feb. 13.

The series will also begin Fairfield's season-opening 14-game road swing that includes three-game sets at Davidson (Feb. 20-22) and Elon (Feb. 27 – Mar. 1). The Stags will travel for mid-week matches against Central Connecticut State (Mar. 3) and St. John's (Mar. 10). During that road trip, the Stags will also open up conference play with a series at Siena (Mar. 6-8).

The reigning Champions will return to Don and Chris Cook Field for their home opener as they open up a three-game series against Manhattan (Mar. 13-15). The Stags will also host five-straight mid-week contests against: Hofstra (Mar. 18), Central Connecticut State (Mar. 24), Yale (Mar. 31), Army West Point (Apr. 7), and Columbia (Apr. 14).

The only road games during that month-long stretch will be MAAC series at Saint Peter's (Mar. 20-22) and Merrimack (Apr. 2-4) while also including the bye-week series at Binghamton (Mar. 27-28).

The Stags will host Rider in a rematch of the MAAC Championship Series on Apr. 10-12 while also welcoming Mount St. Mary's (Apr. 17-19).

Fairfield will also host Iona (Apr. 24-26) and Marist (May 8-10) while traveling to Quinnipiac (May 1-3) and Sacred Heart (May 14-16) to end the season.

The Stags captured the 2025 MAAC Tournament Championship while punching their ticket to the NCAA Regionals. Fairfield also tied a program single-season record with 39 wins and have now won 30 or more games in six-straight full seasons.

The 2026 campaign will also be the final for Head Coach Bill Currier who enters the year with 398 victories in his 14 years with the Stags.
