HAMBURG, N.J. – Led by three players in the top 20, Fairfield University Women's Golf sits in third place at the FDU Invitational at Crystal Springs Golf Club in Hamburg, N.J. The Stags are paced on the leaderboard by
Maria Beltran's +8. Round 2 of the 36-hole day was suspended due to darkness and will be completed on Monday prior to the regularly scheduled final round.
Beltran carded a 78 in the morning and improved by four strokes with a 74 in her afternoon round.
Julia Towne also bettered her first round score with a 78 and a 76 to land in 15th place in the 83-golfer field.
Katelynn Waclawski is right behind Towne in 19th place, while
Juliette Prud'Homme is currently slotted 22nd.
Julia Rabadam is in 27th place and
Grace Kryscio will enter Monday in 46th.
Quinnipiac holds the top two spots on the leaderboard. Aimee Uchida is the current pacesetter at even par, followed by Leeyen Peralta's +2 score.
On the team ledger, the Stags are just two strokes behind second-place Merrimack. Led by Uchida and Peralta, Quinnipiac leads the field by 16 shots heading into Monday's action.
